Who I Follow: Instagram

If you’re part of Generation Y, you probably have Instagram – if you don’t have it, you’ve definitely heard of it. As of December 2014, Instagram has amassed 300 million users, which results in approximately 40 million photos being posted daily to the service. One or two a day being from little old me at wanderb4what.

Now, if you don’t use Instagram, I hope that reading this post will inspire you to download the app and start “following” some of these interesting accounts. Instagram has become popular for a variety of reasons. Personally, I enjoy Instagram because it gives you direct access to interesting people, places, and photographs that have on more then one occasion left me inspired.

I am relatively new to the whole Instagram scene, but have been thoroughly enjoying exploring it. There are some amazing contributors who display their photos, and it’s a great way to support fellow bloggers by following in or “loving” their shots.

Here are some of the Instagram feeds I’ve been enjoying as of late. Maybe they’ll inspire you too.

@amberlfillerup
Amber (or the Barefoot Blonde) was the first fashion blog I ever followed. She is a fashion and beauty blogger based out of New York and is a braid guru, constantly displaying her gorgeous hair over her Instagram feed. Bonus: She shares the most adorable photos of her baby boy and puppy.

@natgeo and @natgeotravel
National Geographic has two great feeds you should check out. You can follow either one for daily travel inspiration and be blown away by this world and the creatures in it. Bonus: they also caption their photos with information about who took the photo, where it was taken, and often include a summary of the situation/ place they are shedding light on. It’s beautiful and informative, what more could you need?!

@carolinevreeland
I recently started following Caroline after I found her through one of my favourite bloggers, Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea. Caroline is a singer/songwriter who displays her So-Cal lifestyle for the world to be envious of. Harper’s Bazaar recently referred to her as “A New Icon” and it’s easy to see why. She’s effortlessly beautiful, talented, and doesn’t seem to take herself too seriously. She’s a fun follow.

It’s a blend of some of my favourite things: travel, fashion, and Vancouver. They are definitely worth checking out.
