Grateful

Ft. Snelling Cemetery

 

Last year on November 17, my family and I laid my grandpa “Don” to rest at Ft. Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota – the same city he came into the world in back in 1921.

I had never been to a national graveyard before and to say it was overwhelming would be an understatement.

The graves seemed to be never-ending, and blanket of snow that welcomed us on arrival gave the illusion that maybe they never did.

Why I’m Going Sober for November

I’ve had one hell of a year!

I would even be so bold as to say that this has been the best year of my life – but over the course of this incredible year, I haven’t exactly treated my body as it deserves to be treated.

From overindulging in edibles to my lack of exercise, the boozy drinks… the many…. many boozy drinks, I ended October feeling that I need to overhaul what’s going into my body.

I’ve been back in Vancouver for about a month, and after enjoying the last few weeks of summer, the time has come…

It’s time to get a job.

Finding a full-time job is essentially having a full-time job. From the job searches to the resume re-dos, the thought put into cover letters, and the added bonus of social media profiles. Finding a job is a lot of work, especially when you are determined to get the job you want.
