I have A LOT of hair and as much as I love my thick, blonde, curly tresses, my mane can be difficult to tame on a daily basis.
Because of that, I am always on the lookout for new products that are going to make styling easier and give my hair the longevity it needs to last a few days without too much work.
Recently, I’ve discovered a few new (and old) products that have really helped cut down styling time and allowed me to get the most out of my hair.
Here are five of my favourite hair products:
Marc Anthony- Oil of Morocco Argan Oil 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream
This cream has really assisted in the longevity of my blow out. Seeing as it takes me forever to blow dry my hair, I’m always on the hunt for something that will keep things straight and frizz-free for days on end. So far, this product seems to be doing the trick.
Biosilk- Silk Therapy Original
I remember using Biosilk back in the day, but it wasn’t until recently I reconnected with the product. In my opinion, it’s still the best smoothing serum out there. You can use it pre or post blow dry and it really adds a silky smoothness to your ‘do. Also, don’t buy it at the drugstore, it’s a complete ripoff. Head to your local WINNERS and grab it from there – bigger bottle and a much better price.
Batiste- XXL Volume Dry Shampoo
I just discovered this the other day, and with two uses I’m already in love. It’s the first dry shampoo I’ve tried that really does add a nice bounce to your hair, and it lasts all day. Just remember, with this product a little bit goes a long way, so to prevent stickiness or a white cast, go easy on the spray.
Live Clean- Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner
Live Clean has been my go-to shampoo for some time now. I enjoy them because they are free of sulfates and parabens, and smell divine. I’m currently using the Keratin Oil line because I am blowdrying my hair more often and I find it has really assisted in smoothing my usually reckless mane.
Aveda- Be Curly Style Prep
This was my splurge for the month of September. I usually purchase all of my hair products from the drugstore but after discovering this at the Aveda Institute in Vancouver I knew I needed it. This style prep is perfect for when I’m letting my curly/wavy hair to air dry, or if I’m diffusing it. It doesn’t leave my hair sticky or “crunchy” like many curl-enhancing products do, and it really helps in the longevity of your curls. It’s definitely worth the price tag!
What are your favourite hair products?
Your hair sounds just like mine! I’m saving this list to come back to so I can try these products. I really like Live Clean shampoo as well, and I like how affordable it is too 🙂
