World of Wanderlust | Flying the Nest | Girl vs Globe |
If I could recommend any time to visit Canada it would be the summer, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
I absolutely adore my country and cannot say enough great things about it, but I would be foolish if I said, “Canada is great to visit any time of the year”. That my friends, is not an accurate statement.
Don’t get me wrong – Canada is beautiful in the winter, and if you’re an avid skier or snowboarder it might be your dream to visit our incredible mountain ranges (specifically the west coast, where you’ll find some of the best skiing on the planet). Having said that, I would HIGHLY advise visiting Canada during the summer months, when you don’t have to wear layers of clothing and scrape ice off your rental car.
This summer, a few of my favourite travel bloggers made the trip up to the great white north to visit a portion of our very large country, and it was great to see Canada through their lens.
Here are three travel bloggers who made the journey up north to visit Canada in the summer:
World of Wanderlust- Brooke Saward
After years of solo travel, Brooke finally made it to Canada and in true World of Wanderlust form, went and explored somewhere off the beaten path… so far off that most Canadians haven’t visited! Brooke started her adventure by travelling up to the Yukon and then on to Quebec City. After reading her blog and watching some of her Vlogs over on YouTube, it’s apparent that she fell in love with Canada and will definitely be making another trip in the near future.
Girl vs. Globe- Sabina Trojanova
Sabina travelled to Banff over the summer on a KLM press trip that was also supported by Travel Alberta and was blown away by the natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies. She immersed herself (like a true champ) in quintessential Canadian outdoor activities, like canoeing, hiking and fishing, and made sure to treat herself to the Banff Upper Hot Springs. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her again around these parts; I think she took a liking.
Flying the Nest- Stephen Parry & Jessica Valentine
I’ve been following this stellar young couple since they arrived in Vancouver earlier this year to start off their full-year of travel. During their time in Vancouver, they travelled throughout BC and explored local surroundings, documenting all of their adventures for our viewing pleasure on their Youtube channel. When it was time to hit the road and continue their journey they ended by visiting the Canadian Rockies. These two definitely made the most of summer in Canada!
Have you made a visit to Canada recently? If so, when, and where did you go?
I could not agree with this more! Winter for me it’s layers of sweaters coats and scarves! Definitely more of a summer girl myself
