Three Things I Loved About Lisbon

We recently spent five days in Lisbon, the capital and tourist centre of Portugal.

The selfie sticks, fanny packs, and Tilley hats were everywhere. However, since we were visiting during shoulder season, I’m sure it is nothing in comparison to what the locals are used to seeing during the summer months.

Lisbon had all the hustle and bustle of a large tourist town and given the beauty of the city, and the charm of the locals, it was easy to look beyond the throngs of tourists to enjoy this incredibly interesting, historic capital.

Grenada to London.

We are definitely not the first, nor will we be the last, but wow, that was a long time to be on a runway. Our departure from Grenada was going smoothly, we had our last Carib, said our goodbyes, waltzed through security, and stood around the steaming airport waiting to board our plane. View Post

One Week Countdown.

In a week, the comfort of my own bed will be a memory that I am sure I will often crave. Yet the excitement of our impending adventure is enough that the thought takes up just a split second of my day.

We have so much to do!

Which is why I feel blessed to have my partner because if I were doing this on my own, everything would be left to the very last day, or more like minute. He inspires me to overcome my genetic disposition to procrastination (I’m looking at you mother) and try to start a few things early. View Post
